Feast on this sandwich then - it's sure to satisfy even the biggest hunger!

Seriously - how cool is this?

I love play food and have ventured into making the girls a few felt items in the past but I've made nothing as lovely as this creation from Kylie at Mealy and I.

Look at the detail - crusty multi-grain bread, tomato, wavy crinkly lettuce, onion rings, Swiss cheese, stras (polony or devon depending on where you live!), pickles and even beetroot.

I was lucky enough to win this too - thanks Kylie, I am feeling a little humbled by my excellent wins, there are some very clever crafty ladies out there.

The official proceedings

The entrants were placed in the official 'mixing' receptacle.

The barrel assistant rotated them in a random fashion

Drew one out at her leisure and held it up to read it - but ahh she can't actually read

So she showed it to the adjudicator who verified, that it was indeed the lovely Tanya who won.

Congrats Tan, I later heard through the bloggy grapevine you parted with your $5 on quite a number of occassions so I'm pleased you had a win.

NB - I adpoted this less than technical approach to drawing the entrant as I wanted to be sure Samelia's Mum got the six entries she was entitled to.

In an effort to be really fair - I cut all the pieces of paper the same size first - then wrote the names on.

I'm enjoying Australia Day celebrations today and just had my daughter draw a winner from the hat and the winner is Tanya!

Using a highly technical number generating system, my three assistants came up with three winners.

Amazingly they chose three people who each wanted a different fabric bundle, isn't it nice when things work out!

Congratuations to Willy Wagtail who will soon be enjoying the brights, Aimee in Stitches who will soon have 'the Blues' and amummy who has fruity goodness heading her way.

What a wonderful cape! I'm thankful for all the wonderful crafty bloggers who share tutorials, how-tos and their methods with us. I'm also thankful for my kids patience as I try out the tutorials and fit them "yet again" because cutting twice, measuring once is how I sew.
