KCWC - Day 4

There wasn't much to see here from Day 4 of KCWC - I traced a pattern out - that's pretty much it, oh and I read the pattern...

I plan to make up for it over the weekend, but I think I might even be skipping my hour today Day 5.

So instead I thought I'd show you the pattern I am making next and also the fabric I am making it in.

Oliver + S croquet dress and some bright spots!
I'm debating whether to try this cute sleeve application...

What do you think?
Will the detail be lost in the 'busyness' of the fabric or should I give it a go??

How's your KCWC coming along?

The only way to know is to try! It will be a cute detail if it works, if it doesn't you could always just cut some new sleeves.

Why not give it a go. You might always be curious if you decide not to. Worse case, there is always the unpicker, my best friend when I sew. :)

That's a cool sleeve detail, and I think it could look great in this fabric - it's not too busy but it could be more forgiving than a totally plain fabric if the pleats aren't perfectly neat. I wonder how it goes when it's washed and needs an iron?
I think you have to try it now you've posted about it ;)

Cute fabric. The pleated sleeves look gorgeous - you could always pleat up a square to see if it looks all right in the fabric before cutting out the sleeves? Can't wait to see how the dress looks :)

You pre-read the pattern??? You really are too good.
