Bags are packed

My little brown bags are packed and ready to go to Sew It Together tomorrow.

Just one simple word on the front of each 'EAT'.

In case you 're not up on what the swap was about here are the details.

Cass signed people, and you then make six of one item to be given your group members who will be randomly drawn tomorrow.

They in turn make six of something else so everyone comes home with six lovely handmade items.

Cass explains it better here.

I can blog this because the groups are random and many of the ladies are already either on planes ready to get here or about to get on a bus and go for a fabric shopping trip.

So I made six lunch bags, all lined with insulbrite so they are insulated for heat and cold.

I tried the vinyl lining but without a walking foot it was truly close to nightmarish to sew. Negotiating the sewing with baking paper against the vinyl so it didn't stick - matching corners and holding everything in place, not fun.

Also I didn't know about the properties of the vinyl and whether it would be food safe.

And what's a lunch bag without something in it to eat, so there's a little pre-lunch snack included!

Karen - I am in LOVE with these bags. They are just gorgeous. My favourite was the top right one. That fabric is sweet.

Is there any chance you could share the pattern or tutorial you used? They are just divine!!!
