The Owl and the Pussycat

Not a very inventive title I know, but it is the most appropriate for this sewing I completed earlier today!

These two little bags are from the Melly and Me pattern that I got a few weeks ago and form the major part of a little present I am getting ready to give to the girls when the baby arrives.

I really like these bags and despite having to do them in many small bursts of sewing, enjoyed making them.

More importantly, the girls love them - carting them around the house to help me photograph them this morning then putting them in the cupboard ready to give to 'someone special'!

Now onto the next project - another Melly and Me pattern, Ellie the Elephant I think.

Every time I see bags I think I really should have a go at one. Those are lovely, yet more inspiration - now if someone could just find me some motivation.

They look fantastic! I can see why the girls love them and I am sure they will be so excited when they find out it is actually for them!

These are both adorable! Novy made Lottie a pussycat one and it has become a firm favourite in the handbag collection.
