Lovin' summer

While Nicola and Katherine over at Four Friends and a blog are making their way through winter snows, we are enjoying lots of summer sunshine, with many days recently hitting the 40C mark.

We're lucky enough to have family who live on the coast and so we spent the Australia Day long weekend enjoying the great Aussie surf and sun.

Our girls have quickly grown to love the beach, but in their own different ways.

We have one water-baby...

and one sand-baby...

Here are a couple of snaps of two of my five lovely nieces in the outfits I made them for Christmas, which much to my delight, their mum says they choose to wear quite often.

Aren't they lovely girls!!

Aren't they just edible little sand cookies! It's been such an honour to see them grow.

The girls are all so sweet! I love the summer pictures, it's a great reminder, as I buried in snow and cold. :0)

First of all congrats on your pregnancy! Your bump can lead the way :)

My nausea put paid to lots of my Christmas crafting as well, sad to say, but your presents were gorgeous. The little bubba dress you made is esp. cute.

And OMG I am totally in love with the latest edition of Ottobre! I want to make one of each for ROmily :)

Oh, I am soaking up those lovely images of your sweeties at the beach. It was snowing here today.

Great job on the outfits for your nieces. The fabrics and colours you chose really suit each girl beautifully. They're lucky to have such a talented aunt!
