This little home was one of the things I made for our own littlest Princess's birthday.
She's three today - but I'll post later about her celebrations. For now, here's one of her gifts...
In case you didn't see the last time I made them, the tutorial for the Tiny Travelling Doll's House comes from the very clever Trixie - you can find it here.
These make a fabulous gift for girls who are three, four, five or six years old!
They are quick and easy to make - require as little or as much sewing as you want to do and are always very well received.
Best of all they are so small and sweet they only require the smallest amount of felt - so you can afford to use the good stuff!
You can buy lots of tiny dolls and fairies that will fit into the matchbox or, as I prefer to do, you can make your own doll too using wooden beads, a pipe cleaner and some felt for clothes.
Some scraps of polar fleece for a blanket and the sleeping princess is snug and cosy in her new home.
I recommend gluing the bottom piece of fleece in, one less thing to have to keep track of!
You can't actually see it here, but at the back of the ribbon (which is so the house can hang around a child's neck) I use a snap - so if it were ever to get caught it would snap undone before becoming too tight around your own Princess's neck!
Go on, make one - you know you want to.
