I'm back - and there's lots to share.
But let's start with the 'quick break' pics since I alluded to it a while back.
Brianna was right, the photo of the girls riding the big artificial wave was taken at Phillip Island, not far from Melbourne but it feels like you are a million miles away - and I mean that in a good way, a very good way.
We got acquainted with the locals, real and
Not so real!
We had time to run...
To look...
To learn...
And to just be 'five'.
Which, after multiple interstate trips, weddings, funerals, illness and injury in the weeks preceding the weekend away, was something we really needed.
Sometimes it's hard to make the decision to say 'sorry, but I won't be able to make it' to things, when the prospect of disappointing others looms.
But an overnight trip away like this reminds me that there can never be enough time to indulge in enjoying the company of the four people I love most in the world.

That is a lovely family photo Karen. Also that giant koala looks exactly like the one at Taronga Zoo
Very cute pictures. We just spent nine days down there and I nearly cried when we had to come home today!
Hooray, you're back with a brand spanking new computer!
What a gorgeous family photo of the five of you :)
What gorgeous photos! How fantastic... and yes - sometime you just have to have some special time with our nearest and dearest.
Welcome back! I think it's safe to say that we all missed you. Family is so important - and it is easy to be swept along with things and not take time with each other. Bravo for taking time with the people that are most important in your life - it looks like you had a wonderful time :)

Oh, I really think I need to say "Sorry we can't make it" more often. Glad you got a chance to get away!
