That's entertainment

We're trying to encourage a love of live theatre in our children.
That and a healthy level of imaginative play.

Which is why I love nothing better than having to write, exactly as instructed, a sign like this to hang on our front door.

This is what then greeted the guy who lives here when he walked through that door.

He was provided with a ticket (as seen on the left of the pic in front of Miss A) featuring mermaids and instructions on entering the show through 'four door centre'.

He was also asked what his phone number was and this information was plugged into the cash register, probably for future market research or telemarketing!

He was then escorted through the house and seated on the deck ready for the show to begin once the puppeteers introduced themselves.

There was a cast of thousands (well not quite, but you get the idea)

Characters from near and far

And some very funny voices and storylines.

And after every great performance you front your audience to take your bow.

What's something fun that's been happening at your place?

That is super cool! What fun you must have had. Did the Guy who lives there enjoy the show?

So sweet Karen, nothing much changes does it? My four were doing that over 30 years ago, imagination is an amazingly wonderful thing..

I'm still laughing about the unsuspecting theatre patron having to give his phone number!

Yesterday we (apparently) had a film set in our house. Not sure where the idea came from ... but it involved a lot of masking tape cordons and things being tipped on their sides.

Happy holidays to you all!

this post had me nodding away as this is what my boys have enjoyed lately as well - signs start appearing all over the house, their last show was dance party - we even had to pay an entry fee!
