It's a curtain, quite wide and a decent drop too - there were, of course, two of them.
I got them for the princely sum of $2.
Not each, that's $2 in total.
Bargain huh!
Thing is I planned on making little tunic-style dresses from it, but it's backed and so not really conducive to clothing.
The print is fairly large scale so I was thinking of bags, swimming bags because it would be a little water resistant too.
What do you think??
Any other suggested uses for my new friends??

A swimming bag sounds like a great idea or even a lunch bag!
No, but I love it, great find!
Art smocks? Or would it be too heavy? Toiletry bags - although you would have a lot left over... Perhaps some toy bags?
Bummer! Tunic styled dressed would have looked awesome in that fabric! Hmmm. Suggtestions. How about giant floor cushions for a reading nook, or an ottoman?
Awesome!!
Maybe winter style jackets/raincoats also playmats or backing for picnic blankets or quilts....
such a great find happy sewing :)
so, fetes aren't all homemade jam and potted geraniums where you live. Huh, who knew! Bargain. I reckon it would make ace swimming bags and it's nearly that time of the year...
Love it!! I think it would make fabulous swimming or library bags.
big floor cushions, bean bag cover?? It's very fun!
I'll do the right thing and take it off your hands for anything more than $2 (so you end up with a profit!!) and use it for the curtains in my son's new room....would be absolutely perfect!
What a find:) I think that it would make great bags, maybe big cushions too:)
fabric baskets? Gift wrapping? Picnic rug?
oh very cute Karen. Perfect for swimming bags! I was going to say pencil cases but you said the print was quite large so that might not work. Chair bags for the girls' craft area, can't remember if you already have some??
Art smocks :)
I love it too, and at $2 it is a real bargain find. Lucky you!
What a find :-) Have the girls got art smocks? It'd make cute little smocks.
Oh my goodness that so reminds me of the curtains in my preschool back in 1979.
swimming bags would be great and what about bean bags? That was my first thought when I saw. In fact I think I remember having a similar beanbag back in bedroom when I was a child in the 1970's!
WOW - what a great bargain! Brilliant. So cheery!
