I've had the pattern for a little while but it's also in the Sewing Clothes Kids Love book - the Feliz dress.
She got the fabulous Kokka Snow White fabric at one of Amitie's sales a while back and we teamed it with the Michael Miller Ta Dot in teal - a perfect match.
There's also something 'frilling' going on.
I finally had a chance to use this fearsome looking attachment - the ruffler foot and boy am I impressed.
Mine is a snap on foot so was super-easy to attach and then after a couple of little practices away we went.
It makes lovely even gathers in a fraction of the time it takes to hand-draw them up.
It will definitely get lots more use in this dress-obsessed house.

Great fabric and lovely ruffles!!
fantastic fabric combo there. Love it. I am sitting here thinking that you are wishing you had this ruffle foot when you made all those bed spreads a while ago!
This skirt is looking gorgeous. I'm hearing a lot of positive things about this 'Sewing Clothes Kids Love' book...may have to put it on my wishlist. Thanks for sharing and inspiring!
Love the fabric contrast - very cool :)
Im so impressed! I spent ages last year making ruffles for a gazillion aprons.. this little gem of yours would be very welcome over here. That dress already looks divine. Peta

Karen it looks great, the fabric combo is wonderful
The Feliz is looking fantastic already. I love the blue MM fabrics - goes really well with the Snow White one.
Hello hello! I think we may have meet - yes I literally bumped into you and then your gorgeous girls at spotlight the other night! I commented on the dresses they were wearing and then I recognised them all when I was reading through your blog! What a small world! I'm loving that dress your making with such gorgeous ruffles (and nice to see blue in a girls dress!)
That looks great - thanks for the info on the ruffle foot! What machine do you have - maybe I should hunt one down! Also love the crochet in the last post - would you believe tht I started one in the same yarn - but ont seem to have gauge and tink I will get lost in it!
i love the vividness of the 'sew it together' blue ... and the two fabrics look so good together. i wouldn't even mind one for me!

Excellent foot - I didn't know there was such a thing, but now I want one! Love the fabric combo!
I just love the fabric combinations Karen. And, having spent a few HOURS trying to create a ruffle a few weeks ago, I'm terribly interested in this 'ruffler foot' gizmo. Well, not that ruffles are high on the priorities list in this house... but they WOULD BE if I could make them properly!
Looking fabulous, I don't have the ruffling foot yet, but I *heart* my gathering foot ... Must add ruffle foot to list of "feet" to get no doubt :)
Beautiful fabric, MelB xox
Ah so that's the Feliz! Great job Karen :)
