So I thought I' make a nappy wallet that holds what I need and fits in my handbag, and leave the big bag at home.
After hunting around a bit on the web for tutorials I couldn't find anything that was what I wanted so I ended up just winging it and making up my own, which if you read my post about being a 'maker' or a 'creator' you'd know was a big deal for me!
It has two pockets, one fits a travel pack of wipes, the other side holds a nappy, disposal bags and a small pack of antibacterial wipes, in case you're not near a tap and want to clean yourself up after completing the job!
Everything tucks away and then you fold it over and snap it closed.
Compact and easy.
They've been a bit of a hit with friends, so I have made five of them so far, with another one planned in the next day or so.
Would it be handy for you? Are you interested in a tutorial to make these?
Let me know - I can photograph it next time if you say the word.

Happy birthday to your two lovely 4 yr olds I hope all their birthday wishes came true!
Iris had a wonderful birthday thanks for your lovely comment xxx
Ooo, tutorial please, these would be great for my sister who's due again next week.:-) I think by the second kid you really do want to be compact where you can!!
I would be very interested, my oldest is at this stage and it would be great to have a small set under the pram for afternoon walks with Dad.
awesome idea - i usually throw one nappy and a thinning pack of wipes in my handbag - this is a nicer way though!
They look great Karen! I wouldn't need a tutorial, but I will have to make one to take overseas I think. I do not want to be lugging a nappy bag when out during the day.
This looks lovely and very handy. I'd be really interested in a tutorial!
they look great! i need one of these lol, i throw everything into whatever bag i have handy... so i'd love a tutorial!
This is brilliant, I would love a tutorial! I have been trying to think what to make to make the whole nappies in the handbag not so intrusive and this is just perfect. I'm thinking of making a little zipper snack pouch as well for the handbag for those all important snacks!
I think that a tutorial would be terrific Karen! They look brilliant. And then I could make and not have to create ;-)
I knew there was a creator inside there somewhere Karen! What a FABULOUS idea. Well done to you.
They look great and super handy.
Looks great! I'll be checking back to see if you've done a tut!
Tutorial?? Oh yes please! How cool are these!! Very clever of you.
hi karen! what a great idea. we never bothered with the big nappy bag, i used a little japanese bento/ lunch bag (like a zippered pouch) but this little pouch would have been even better! handbag space already being at a premium i think a tutorial like this would be very popular.
YES! Tutorial please!!! pleeeease!
LOL the captcha on the page is "wishably" I think that's my new favourite word: wishably. As in: She asked for a tutorial wishably.

"I just think of what I need & then use what I have on hand to make it"
You did it!
YES PLEASE!!!
I was recently searching the net for a tute to make exactly this... a nappy wallet.
Will hold off experimenting now in the hopes that you tell me how....
now that my youngest is 2 and we can usually anticipate nappytime, a lovely nappy pouch like this would be wonderful - and a tutorial, oh yes please!!
clever girl Karen!
Hi - I'm new to your blog but have been enjoying it very much! A tutorial for the nappy/diaper holder would be fantastic. My sis-in-law is expecting their first and I've been trying to decide what to make - this would be perfect!
