Any guesses?

A bit of a teaser for my EB sewing buddies Secret Santa - anyone want to hazard a guess at what these might become?

Layer upon layer!

I finally took the advice of all the EB sewing girls (click on the blog ring below the duck to see their great creations) and had a go at a tiered skirt - and aren't they simple!

I decided that with the number of Christmas breakups and barbecues this year the girls should have an outfit each and so did my standard appliqued 'T' with a matching skirt.

Not sure whose is whose but I am sure they will sort that out between them, as they always seem to.

They were so easy that I've decided this little pile of loveliness is destined to become more of the same as gifts for family and friends.

Birthday pigs

Next week our friend Lucia turns three and as she is a big fan of Olivia I hunted down some fabric when in Sydney to make her a library bag.

This was my first attempt at a bag, and luckily I got some great instructions from Cass and a few words of advice from our resident sewing 'expert' (my husband).

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out - though I've learned that when attempting something for the first time perhaps you should not try to do one with a stitched on name, two colour outer and ribbon embellishment!

The rest of her pressie is a very cute seed bag with a pansy seed pack in it from Mike's that I couldn't resist last week, a long sleeved top ready for winter which has some little Japanese girls appliqued on the front and a mushroom pencil roll.

I got the Japanese girls fabric as part of a 16th pack from Edna and Alice May that I also picked up at Mikes.

So I'm hoping this bag of goodies will make for a happy little birthday girl.

Super Snailblazer!

There's only one thing better than going to get the mail and finding no bills, and that's finding a special parcel with only loveliness inside waiting for you!

As part of the Pay It Forward exchange seen on Summer Pickles' blog, who in turn saw it on Kwoozy, the lovely Cass of Snailblazer has sent me a special parcel filled with goodies.

There's my very own wonderful tote bag made in fabulous fabric,
... some gorgeous bobby pin clips for the girls (mmm Mummy likes them too...) and a magnet of everyone's favourite rabbit, the cheeky Peter.

Thanks Cass!! You're ace!

I was so excited I accidentally threw my other mail in the bin with the wrappings from Cass's!

Now those I drew out for my Pay It Forward gifts, don't despair - I haven't forgotten you, I promise, before Santa arrives your little somethings will too.

I've got you my little pretty!!!

What was it I posted previously about a self-imposed fabric ban???

Ummm, well, it's just that I said that before Retro Mummy got in this deliciously irresistible Cosmo "Wizard of Oz" print, in two colours!

What can I say - I love Dorothy and her friends... I think there's still some available if it takes your fancy too!
