Oops, how embarrassing...

Just wanted to say thanks to all for the wishes for a speedy recovery after my unfortunate basketball injury last week - oh well these things happen, and fairly frequently to me!!

I am hobbling around off the crutches, and can move my foot enough to work the pedal on my sewing machine, Yay!!

However, before the ankle accident you might recall I couldn't get the foot on my machine to work. It happened after I finished the smock top for Miss A so as mentioned I pulled out my old machine to sew the top for Miss L.

Well, my mum very kindly carried the machine in to the repair shop when she was here looking after us all (thanks Mum :-), and the man tried it out and it wouldn't work, phew, but then.... he pushed the automatic button-hole lever all the way up and voila, away it went.

As you can imagine I left the shop a serious shade of red... he said he wished all his repairs were that easy.

So I am back up and running, if not not in the literal sense.

Lastly, not a great shot but here are the girls playing on the trampoline we were never going to have, that we picked up at a garage sale last weekend...

PS - Happy Fathers Day Davey xx

Don't feel embarrassed, I am sure we have all had a moment where we were tearing our hair out at the machine, only to realise it was something that we had done that wouldn't make it work....

Very cute trampoline too!!!

Could have been worse, you could have needed a new machine! Or perhaps that wouldn't be a bad thing? ;)
That trampoline is a cutie! We've got the enclosed net one, I swore I'd never have one either but I love it!

OOps! Don't be too embarrassed, I have done a similar thing but thankfully I was speaking to them over the phone, so they will never recognise me as the silly woman who couldn't thread her machine because she didn't have the wheel turned to put the needle in the right position!

Thank goodness for backup machines, Mum and I have 6 between us, now that's embarrassing! We also seem to have this condition known as fabric-collectitis, very debilitating to the hip pocket and poorly understood my the male members of the household...i feel a support group of some kind is long overdue!
Thanks for your comment - pop into the shop to say Hi!

I think these things happen to all of us at some stage.

Cute little trampoline too.

Forget the trampoline! The girls are just gorgeous :)

Don't worry, I called the NRMA when I couldn't get my husband's car to go only to discover when they got there that I hadn't put the gear in park. Sooooo embarrassing, but at least it didn't cost me anything!
