Happy homecoming

Today is a bit of a special day for us, it's two years exactly since the girls came home from hospital.
While their birthday, celebrated three weeks and one day ago, is also very important - I always remember the day we were actually able to leave the hospital and bring the girls with us as the first day we both really felt like they were ours.

That's not to say the nurses and doctors who cared for them in the Special Care Nursery weren't great - they were wonderful caring people, it's just that having the babies under our roof was a huge milestone.

We sat on the couch and each held one in our arms and just gazed at them sleeping for a while as we figured out what to do next!

So happy third homecoming my beautiful girls.

Big blog backlog!

I can't believe how long it's been since I update my poor neglected blog.
There's been a lot going on here with birthday parties:

(Who would believe our 'babies' are now 2! Excuse their slightly dishevelled appearance, it was 39 degrees, with 30 people in the house).

Easter egg hunting in new T's appliqued with my favourite Wizard of Oz fabric, bought from Corrie a while back;

and trips to stay with family in regional Victoria as well as visitors from interstate to stay with us.

On the sewing front, due to a sudden cold change here in Melbourne, I am getting stuck into the girls' winter clothing in a big way with a pile of pants cut and overlocked now awaiting hems and waistbands.

My pledge from here on is to update more often, but with less volume per post.

Let's see if I can stick to it!
